If you would like your child to be part of the Pillars Children Mentoring Programme, you can contact the Helpline 0508 PILLARS.  For your children to be involved you have to be living in Christchurch or South Auckland.

The mentoring coordinator will arrange a time to meet with you and your child and find out about their strengths, needs and interests. When an appropriate mentor is found, the mentoring coordinator will discuss this with you. If you andyour child agree, the mentoring coordinator will introduce the mentor to you and your child in your own home - and the mentoring begins!  

Mentors are at least 18 years of age, have good character and have been screened and trained before being accepted into the programme. Once matched with a child, mentors receive ongoing support and training by programme staff.
