Joshua was born in Te Kuiti and is the youngest of 6. Joshua has strong whakapapa links to Maniapoto & Te Tau Ihu namely (Wairau, Waikawa, Whakatu & Motueka,).
After leaving school at 14 Josh worked in agriculture, the military, adult teaching (Scuba Instructor), adventure based education with youth at risk, adventure tourism (caving and abseiling), earthworks and construction. Joshua has also been involved with Maori governance Boards for the last decade and has received a Diploma in Maori Governance and Leadership in 2015. Joshua has a passion for rangatahi, whanau, hapu & iwi. Seeing all of these grow is what drives Joshua to keep active in the kaupapa he is involved with.
