Rena Marshall – Family/Whanau Worker

Pillars-13Rena is affiliated to Maniapoto/Taranaki Waikato/Hauraki; this reflects in Rena’s practice of how she works with a Maori world view.

Rena is knowledgeable and experienced in her field of work in the social setting working with whanau/families.

Rena’s experience has seen her diversity in developing counselling in schools Taumarunui – facilitating a parenting programme with incarcerated fathers – contributing to developing programmes specifically for Maori by Maori, contributing to the redevelopment of Keeping Ourselves Safe Programme for children and their parents.

More recently Rena was seconded to the Children’s Team Hamilton as one of the 6 full time Lead Professionals.

Rena is a registered Social Worker, Child Advocate and has and continues to work for the well-being and safety of whanau/families/tamariki mokopuna Rena engages with.

Rena has devoted her work career in the community for the past twenty-eight years.
