Sir Pita Sharples, KNZM, CBE.
Sir Pita is a New Zealand Māori academic and politician, who was a co-leader of the Māori Party from 2004 to 2013 and a minister outside Cabinet in the National Party-led government from 2008 to 2014.
He was a member of Parliament for the Tāmaki Makaurau electorate in Auckland from 2005 to 2014.

Miriama and Ward Kamo
Miriama Kamo is a New Zealand journalist and television presenter of Ngāi Tahu/Ngāti Mutunga heritage. She currently presents TVNZ’s flagship current affairs programme Sunday, and Māori current affairs programme Marae.
Ward Kamo has served in government and in corporate roles including community governance. He is also a journalist and presenter and an accomplished MC.

Mary Kamo CNZM and (deceased) Ray Kamo
The parents of Miriama and Ward, both Ray and Mary have served as chaplains in prisons. Mary supported prisoners and their whanau at Christchurch Women’s Prison for 33 years. Our much-loved former kaumatua Ray Kamo passed away in 2021. Ray was a great character and always had gentle and wise words for us. He will be missed.
