Careers at Pillars Ka Pou Whakahou

We provide support for one of Aotearoa’s most vulnerable yet invisible populations – Children with parents in prison or serving a sentence.

Our team supports children and whānau through our core work of community-based (home-based) social work, as well mentoring support for our tamariki and rangatahi. We also have two pathway centres in Ōtautahi (Christchurch) and Waihōpai (Invercargill).

Our offices are based in both Tāmaki Makaurau (specifically South Auckland) and Ōtautahi (specifically Upper Riccarton, Christchurch). We also have services in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) and Waihōpai (Invercargill).

Tāmaki Makaurau - Auckland

Social Worker -  This is a full-time position in West Auckland, responsible for supporting enrolled families in a professional, sensitive, and culturally appropriate manner.  You will support whānau of people in prison or serving a community sentence, with children aged 0-18 years, through the delivery of a range of intervention strategies.
